A very funny book with some real good characters, especially Adonia. The book is full of misunderstandings and all the angst of being 17 is there again, as if you'd ever forget it.Tags : My Best Friend's Brother (MY BEST FRIEND'S BROTHER ~ YA Romantic Comedy Book 1) - Kindle edition by Chrissy Favreau. My Best Friend Brother MY BEST FRIEND'S BROTHER ~ YA Romantic Comedy Book 1 eBook Chrissy Favreau Reviews
This story was sweet and even a little sad at times. Two best friends, their senior year of high school and all the pressures that come along with finding your place in the world, combined with families too busy with their own lives to pay attention to their kids. It's all about compromise and doing what makes you happy and complete.
This story was very interesting because of all the drama. Allie and Luke's relationship was sweet in the beginning but then it turned a little bit sad after Allie found out that Luke was her best friend's twin brother. But in the Allie and Luke started to work on their relationship.
I can't wait to read the next story about this couple.
Based in Alaska - where I spent my summers at the canneries. LITERALLY laugh out loud funny in some parts. IT'S FREE, leave a review. I couldn't put the book down. Easy read and I'm buying the rest of the series because I used to live in Alaska.
The story was flat and I kept hoping it would go somewhere or do something... never happened. The characters were inconsistent at best, the plot line revolves around an undeveloped tension between one-dimensional characters stuck in a superficial, looks-based attraction.
Chrissy Favreau really brings to a story a teenage girl and all the emotions and fixes a girl head over heels in love get's into. I like her style. It looks like their are more in this series. That's pretty great. I've told two pre-teens to ask their mom first if they could read it on my reader. They did and then got their own readers for the rest I presume. The girls are two cute. Bravo Chrissy Favreau!
This book was so bad iI couldn't finish it. And that's saying a lot for me, because I read a lot about books. This girl has a best friend all her life just finds out that she has a twin her best friend never told her that she had a twin really?? Then this girl's little brother he's 12 gets a longer curfew than she does and she's 17 and a senior really?? This book has so many problems plus the girl was just unlikable don't waste your time.
I could go on and on about the stupid things in this book, like how one night it got dark at 630 and the next night 720, or how a person who was a beginning skier was going down the expert trail at night the same day, or how the main character was painfully immature. But really, it was the horrible writing "He pulled me close and we kissed vicariously." Seriously? Bleh!
This ended up being the perfect book for sitting outside on a Saturday afternoon and reading all day. Even though I’m now a twenty something, far removed from my high school days, I could still relate to the characters in this book and what they experienced. I really found this book humorous, but in a natural and uncontrived way. I’ve read several books lately that try to impose humor on an audience, like struggling to write a joke into a story, but that ultimately fall flat. Not this book, though. Adonia’s interactions with Luke make this book naturally funny and engaging, and something you want to finish once you get started. I look forward to checking out the other books by this author, Life with Jessie Daniels. Perfect for summer reading!
A very funny book with some real good characters, especially Adonia. The book is full of misunderstandings and all the angst of being 17 is there again, as if you'd ever forget it.
